Toby Lockwood, Director of Carbon Management Practice at Clean Air Task Force (CATF), is a Co-Chair of Carbon Management Europe’s Technology Working Group. There, he helps direct the technical work programme, informs the development of analytical tools, and promotes technical knowledge sharing among Carbon Management Europe’s membership.
Having worked in the field since 2012, Toby has authored a wide range of research papers and reports on CCS technologies and policy. At CATF, he leads work to assess how CCS can be deployed to meet global climate goals and participates in several expert groups at the EU and national level, with a particular focus on the technical and economic challenges facing large-scale carbon capture in heavy industry.
Before joining CATF, Toby worked for nine years with the IEA Clean Coal Centre and also has experience in pollution control development for the lime industry.
