The Industrial Carbon Management Projects Database brings together the carbon capture and storage (CCS), carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) projects supported by the EU Innovation Fund in one interactive map.
Use it to see where projects are being developed, compare grant and investment volumes, and explore expected CO₂ capture capacity across Europe. The full dataset can be downloaded directly from the tool.
A project may not appear on the map if its geographic coordinates are not yet confirmed in the database. These projects still appear in the Project List panel. If you believe a project is missing entirely, please contact Salman Muhammad at salman.muhammad@cmeurope.org.
Not Disclosed means the figure is not publicly available from official sources. It does not mean the investment is zero or that the project is not viable. Many early-stage projects have not yet disclosed their full investment figures.
The data is updated periodically by Carbon Management Europe. The date of the last update is shown in the top right of the statistics bar. Updates are triggered manually when significant changes in project status or data are identified.
Some projects are categorised as both CCS and CCU because they involve both carbon capture and utilisation components. These projects appear when either CCS or CCU is selected.
This tool is developed and maintained by Carbon Management Europe. If you identify an error in the data or wish to suggest an update, please provide the project name and all relevant information to the address given below. All corrections are reviewed and incorporated in the next scheduled data update
